album on which they perform everything from R&B and
Hip-Hop to Soul. Since their inception, the New York

The group members are ngel Ramirez, Jr., David
Davilla, Hans Giraldo, and Louie Marrero. All of the Boys
are New York natives and are bilingual in English and
Spanish. As youths, they were especially influenced by
the Soul music of the '70s, R&B of the '80s, Hip-Hop of
the '90s and Reggaeton of the new Millennium. Formed
in 1991, they were created as a mainstream Latino
group. Though they started out making Spanish &
English recordings, the band’s ultimate goal have
been to crossover into the mainstream market.

The members were also able to grace the stage &
recording studio with the ever-popular Tex-Mex
superstar Selena to record a duet entitled “Donde
Quiera Que Estes. which remained at #1 on the
Billboard Latin charts for more than six strait weeks. The
Boyz del Barrio became the first Latin group to perform
on the popular music television show The Soul Train.
They went on to record numerous albums & perform on
stage with such artist like Michael Jackson, Whitney
Houston, & Michael Bolton to name a few. Now after 10
years, they return to the music scene to concur the
world once again with their smooth, romantic & sultry
voices. This can all be proven with their new Spanglish
album “BARRIOGRAFIA.
Y.U.M are three sisters directly from Spanish Harlem. They are the hottest
Female Reggaetton Group ever and are also the only Female Reggaetton
Group today.

Y.U.M The Beginning Y.U.M was born Iris J. Duran, Jocelyn Duran, and
Denise Duran in Spanish Harlem to Julio and Iris Duran. The tragic heart
operation from their mother forced her to stay home while Julio Duran
worked two jobs to provide the best opportunities for his wife and five
daughters. During the day, he worked as an electrician and in the evenings
and weekends he played the congas for “El Sonero Major, the
famous salsa band of Jose Alberto “El Canarioâ€.  Y.U.M’s
mother; Iris, founded The Duran Dance Academy to keep her five
daughters busy after school and on weekends. The school; still open as of
today, taught young kids in the community how to dance merengue, salsa,
hip-hop, step, and jazz. As the school’s reputation and popularity
increased famous artist and shows such as Celia Cruz, The Barrio Boyzz,
DLG, Charlie Cruz, ProjectoUno, Cristina Show, Paulina Rubio, Tito
Nieves, Sabado Al Medio Dia, and Frank Niddy began contracting the
Duran sisters to perform as their stage dancers across the country and/or to
appear on their videos, special shows, and events.

Y.U.M winning in a BET audition competition at the Apollo Theater was
contracted to be the first reggeaton group artists to sign to President Bill
Clinton and seven other world leaders in the 2000 G8 Summit in Okinawa,
Japan.

Y.U.M The Group With their roots in Spanish Harlem and the roots of their
talent stemming from their parents, Y.U.M an all-in-one package with talent
in the areas of rapping, singing, dancing, and performing. Bilingual, they
posses the ability to sing in Spanish, English, or a mix of both languages.
Their very active childhood has leaded them to possess a well toned figure
which captures their audience attention when they perform. Their friendly
nature on stage allows them to be accepted by children and adults of all
ages and genders.

Y.U.M’s local hit single “Chocolate is currently ranked #1 on
the radio station WPRX “La Puertorriquenisima in Puerto Rico and
Connecticut. This song is a reggeaton remix of the famous Iris Chaconâ
€™s 80’s hit “Si tu boquita fuera de chocolateâ€. The song;
immediately accepted by listeners, shows potential of possibly going
international due to it’s the three beautiful caramel/chocolate singers
and it’s amazing acceptance worldwide in the past. At a festival in
Chelsea Piers, New York, where Y.U.M sang “Chocolate for the
first time, even an 85 year old lady sitting in a beach chair in front of the
stage learned the chorus and sang it along with the crowd. Afterwards, Y.U.
M received the loudest applause heard that entire day.

Their other songs titles are: Number One, Ahorra Me Toca A Mi, Push It,
Sit u Sabes, and Dingaling. In conclusion, there is no better time to sign a
group of the history and preparation of Y.U.M. Now is the time since there
are no female group artists in existence in the reggeaton industry giving Y.U.
M the potential of becoming “The First Female Group in Reggeatonâ
€, “The First Sisters in Reggeatonâ€, and becoming the first â
€œCaramel colored female artists in reggaetonâ€
